WANT TO PLAY?
We are always looking for motivated team players - dogs
and their human companions. COTF invites you to monitor a practice
on any given Sunday afternoon at the HVOC practice field. If you
contact us first at
info@catchersonthefly.org, we
will meet you 30 minutes before team practice begins to introduce you to
flyball basics. All dogs should:
1) Be well
socialized, leashed and know basic obedience skills. Bring a crate
if you plan to stay a while.
2) Have a favorite toy with them. A tug toy works best.
3) Be ready to be tested on their recall and retrieval abilities.
After observing a
flyball training session, you may wish to join in as a temporary COTF
member. After six weeks of training . . . you decide . . . we
decide on full membership.
Be sure to contact us
first before planning to visit as there may be conflicts with travel and
tournament schedules that may interfere with practice. Practices
are held:
